Counseling and psychotherapy for adolescents

Parents or other relatives often turn to a psychologist for an adolescent who may be manifesting unusual behaviors at school or within the family environment, intense emotional swings, reduced school performance and / or experiencing a traumatic event, for example parental divorce, the loss of a loved one, changing school, and others. Issues adolescents may be concerned with include:

  • Conflicts with parents
  • Behavioral problems at school or at home
  • Addictive substance use
  • Changes in eating behavior – body image
  • Interpersonal relationships issues
  • Depression
  • Stress
  • Phobias
  • Choice of occupation

Sessions are usually weekly and last 1 hour, by appointment – in Greek, English and French. If necessary, sessions can be conducted on a more frequent basis.
